The parents of an 11-year-old boy, who was allegedly murdered at a school in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, are demanding justice for their son. The boy’s father, Shrikishan Kushwaha, described the brutal nature of his son’s death and called for the accused to be hanged.

According to the police, the boy was murdered on September 23 at the hostel of a private school in Hathras. Shrikishan Kushwaha said, “My son was strangled, he was brutally murdered. His neck’s bone was broken, his lips turned blue. I want them to be at least hanged to death. I want justice.”

He recounted receiving a call from the school manager about his son’s poor health and being misled about his son’s location. Eventually, his son’s body was found with Dinesh Baghel, who was intoxicated. Another person, Laxman Singh, was also involved but not in the vehicle.

The boy’s mother, Kamlesh, demanded the school be demolished and a CBI inquiry into the case. She said, “Bulldozer should be run on the school. There should be a CBI inquiry in the case…the culprits should be hanged.”

National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) Chairperson Priyank Kanungo called the crime ‘unforgivable’ and a result of ‘carelessness’. He stated that a team from NCPCR would investigate the incident and submit a report.

Earlier, UP Police arrested five people in connection with the alleged murder. They have been booked under section 103(1) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and sent to judicial custody.
