BJP’s CR Kesavan Criticizes Rahul Gandhi Ahead of Haryana Elections

BJP spokesperson CR Kesavan.

Chennai (Tamil Nadu), September 27: BJP spokesperson CR Kesavan has strongly criticized Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, comparing him to Joseph Goebbels, the propaganda minister for Hitler. Kesavan accused Gandhi of spreading misinformation and called him the “deceptive and dishonest Goebbels of Indian politics.”

Kesavan stated, “Yesterday, you saw how Mr. Rahul Gandhi tried to fabricate falsehoods from his fake factory,” referring to what he called Gandhi’s “malicious Goebbels-like bogus propaganda.” He claimed that Gandhi is nervous because he knows that the two crore voters of Haryana have decided to support the BJP government.

Kesavan addressed Gandhi’s comments on representation for OBCs, Dalits, and SC/ST communities, highlighting that the current Chief Minister of Haryana is from the OBC community. He also mentioned that the BJP’s president is from the tribal community and that the Chief Information Commissioner is from the Dalit community.

Kesavan accused the Congress party of being anti-reservation and wanting to end quotas for marginalized communities. He criticized Gandhi for campaigning in Assandh, where a Congress candidate had suggested prioritizing family wealth if elected.

On employment, Kesavan argued that Haryana is leading in industry and agriculture, claiming that the BJP government has created 1.6 crore formal jobs in the last ten years. He noted that the per capita income in 2014 was Rs 1.37 lakhs, which has since doubled.

Kesavan concluded by saying that the people of Haryana have made up their minds to vote for the BJP for a historic third term, ensuring that the Congress party is rejected once again.

In response, Rahul Gandhi criticized the Haryana government during a public rally in Assandh, focusing on the lack of job opportunities that force youth to migrate. He promised financial support for women, job creation, and housing for the poor. Gandhi also emphasized the need for a caste census and warned of threats to the Constitution.

Haryana goes to the polls on October 5 to elect a 90-member state legislative assembly, with the counting set to take place on October 8.
