Congress Leader Jairam Ramesh Criticizes BJP Over Farm Laws and Other Issues

New Delhi, India – Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh has criticized the BJP for its stance on the farm laws and other significant issues. He stated that the demand for bringing back the three repealed farm laws remains constant from the BJP.

Earlier, Kangana Ranaut, a Mandi Lok Sabha MP, suggested that the three farm laws should be reinstated. Reacting to this, Ramesh said, “They talked about ‘400 paar’ and changing the Constitution during the elections. Our non-biological PM remains quiet and makes others make statements. The demand of bringing back the three black laws comes every day from the BJP.”

Ramesh also pointed out the government’s silence on the socio-economic caste census and the 50% reservation limit, stating these will be significant issues in the upcoming state elections in Haryana, Jharkhand, and Maharashtra.

Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut issued an apology and expressed regret over her statement on the farm laws. She acknowledged that her comments could be controversial and retracted her remarks after the BJP clarified that her statement was unauthorized and did not reflect the party’s views. Ranaut stated, “I will also have to keep one thing in mind that now I am not an artist but a BJP worker. My opinions will not just be mine but will represent the party’s stand.”

BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia confirmed that Ranaut’s remarks were her personal views and not the party’s stance on the farm bills.
