Protests in Umerkot, Pakistan Over Death of Dr. Shah Nawaz Kunbhar

Human rights defender Punhal Sario condemned a statement by Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, criticizing the actions of Tharparkar MNA Ameer Ali Shah Jeelani, who was seen garlanding the police officials involved in the killing.
The protesters demanded an investigation into the incident and called for the arrest of DIG Javed Sonharo Jiskani, Umerkot SSP, and his police team. They also demanded a ban on local spiritual leader Umer Jan Sarhandi and his followers for their alleged involvement.
The victim’s cousin, advocate Junaid Kunbhar, along with other notable figures, announced a powerful protest demonstration in Karachi on October 6, urging people to attend and express their rejection of extremism.
