Ashwini Vaishnaw Leads Cleanliness and Tree Planting Campaign in New Delhi

Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnaw participated in a series of events under the ‘Swachhta Hi Sewa’ campaign at Soochna Bhawan in New Delhi. The campaign, hosted by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), aimed to raise awareness about the importance of cleanliness and environmental stewardship.

During the event, the minister administered an oath to officers and staff of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, encouraging them to promote cleanliness and sustainable practices. He also planted a sapling as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Ek Ped Maa ke Naam’ plantation drive, emphasizing the dual objectives of cleanliness and environmental conservation. Additionally, Vaishnaw distributed saplings to employees, highlighting individual responsibility towards the environment.

Minister of State for the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, L Murugan, and Sanjay Jaju, Secretary of the Ministry, along with the Chairperson of the Press Council of India and other officials, were also present at the event.
