Arvind Kejriwal Writes to RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat About BJP’s Actions

Arvind Kejriwal, the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), has written a letter to Mohan Bhagwat, the Chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), urging him to oversee the activities of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). In his letter, Kejriwal posed five questions to Bhagwat, asking him to take responsibility for the BJP’s actions.

Kejriwal criticized the BJP for aligning with allegedly corrupt leaders and inducting them into the party. He questioned, “The leaders whom PM Modi and Amit Shah called the most corrupt, whom they themselves called corrupt, were inducted into the BJP; do you agree with such politics?”

He also raised concerns about the application of retirement rules within the BJP, asking why the rule that leaders retire after 75 years does not apply to Prime Minister Modi. Kejriwal further questioned a statement made by BJP President JP Nadda, who said during the Lok Sabha elections that he does not need the RSS. Kejriwal asked, “Has the son grown so much that he has started showing his might to his mother? Didn’t you feel sad when he said this?”

Kejriwal alleged that the BJP is using agencies like the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to threaten opposition parties and topple governments. He emphasized the need for ethical governance and political stability, asking, “Parties are being broken by threatening ED CBI, governments are being toppled, is this right? Does RSS accept this?”

Arvind Kejriwal is currently out on bail in connection to the Excise Policy Scam, which involves allegations of irregularities in the formation and implementation of the Delhi excise policy (2021-22) by the CBI. The policy was withdrawn after allegations of corruption.
