Shafi Parambil Wins Vadakara: Talks About Unity, Development, and Election Campaigns

Shafi Parambil, the newly-elected Congress MP from Vadakara, Kerala, shared his thoughts on the recent Lok Sabha elections. He criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP leaders for running a divisive campaign, while praising Rahul Gandhi for promoting unity.

Election Campaigns and Results

Parambil won against CPI-M’s KK Shailaja Teacher and BJP’s Praphul Krishnan. He mentioned that PM Modi made derogatory remarks about Rahul Gandhi during the campaign, but Rahul Gandhi focused on unity and walked 4000 km to protect India’s integrity through the Bharat Jodo Yatra and Nyay Yatra.

In Uttar Pradesh, the INDIA alliance’s performance showed that people cannot be taken for granted. The BJP’s majority in Varanasi decreased, and the results in Ayodhya sent a strong message to the BJP. The INDIA bloc won 234 seats in Lok Sabha, while the BJP-led NDA won 293 seats. In Uttar Pradesh, the Samajwadi Party won 37 seats, BJP 33, Congress six, Rashtriya Lok Dal two, and Aazad Samaj Party and Apna Dal one seat each.

Future Plans for Vadakara

Parambil emphasized his commitment to the growth and development of Vadakara, focusing on programs for youngsters, women, and education. He aims to prioritize sports and work for the development of Vadakara, irrespective of politics and religion.

Addressing Local Issues

Parambil addressed the incident of a death while making crude bombs in Kannur, blaming political pressures for disrupting harmony. He also discussed the issue of fake screenshots created to disrupt communal harmony and called for legal action to uncover the truth.

Tribute to Oommen Chandy

Parambil paid tribute to Congress leader and former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, praising his dedication to the people. He denied allegations of circulating morphed videos of KK Shailaja, stating that the accusations were baseless and intentional by the opposition.
