Shiv Sena MP Naresh Maske Supports Policeman Who Shot Badlapur Accused
Thane (Maharashtra) [India], September 24: Shiv Sena MP Naresh Maske, along with other party workers, visited the hospital to meet the injured policeman who shot the accused in the Badlapur sexual assault case. The MP and workers consoled the policeman and assured him of full support from Shiv Sena and Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena workers displayed posters and distributed sweets at Badlapur railway station after the accused, Akshay Shinde, was shot dead by the police. A worker mentioned that the same station where the incident occurred is now witnessing celebrations. Another worker expressed increased trust in the government and police, feeling safer and confident that justice will be served in future incidents.
Another worker praised the courage shown by the police in the shooting incident, stating that it demonstrated the police’s commitment to preventing injustice against women in the state.
The post-mortem of the accused’s body will be conducted by experts from JJ hospital, following a panchnama done in the presence of a judge at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital in Kalwa.
