Wilmington (Delaware) [US], September 22: The leaders of the Quad countries—Australia, India, Japan, and the United States—met in Wilmington, Delaware, to discuss pressing global issues. They expressed deep concerns over the ongoing war in Ukraine and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

The leaders agreed that the use or threat of nuclear weapons is unacceptable.

Gaza Humanitarian Crisis

The Quad nations condemned the October 7 terror attacks and the large-scale loss of civilian lives in Gaza. They called for the immediate release of all hostages held by Hamas and emphasized the need for a prolonged ceasefire. The leaders urged all parties to comply with international humanitarian law and to increase humanitarian aid to Gaza. They also stressed the importance of preventing regional escalation.
