The Inland Waterways Authority of India successfully transported a massive Vacuum Tower from Kolkata to Numaligarh Refinery in Assam via the Indo Bangladesh Protocol Route. This significant event marks a milestone in Assam’s logistics sector.

The Vacuum Tower, ferried by the MV Tidal Waves IV vessel, is part of an expansion project at the refinery. Prabin Bora, director of the Inland Waterways Authority, highlighted the positive impact of this development, which resulted from a memorandum of understanding between NRL and IWAI.
