Chhindwara (Madhya Pradesh), September 20: Nakul Nath, son of former Chief Minister Kamal Nath and a Congress leader, announced on Friday that they were organizing the ‘Kisan Nyay Yatra’ to address the injustices faced by farmers. The Madhya Pradesh Congress held the ‘Kisan Nyay Yatra’ on tractors to support farmers demanding an increase in the minimum support price (MSP) of soybean from Rs 4892 to Rs 6000 per quintal across the state.

In Chhindwara district, Congress leaders, including Nakul Nath, participated in the yatra with local farmers. Nakul Nath told reporters, “Today, seeing the problems of the farmers, the Congress party had to take out this Kisan Nyay Yatra. Today, the farmers are the most troubled in the whole country and today we are taking out this yatra for justice for the farmers, for their rights. We are taking out a yatra against the injustice being done to the farmers.”

In a post on X, Nakul Nath wrote, “Today, I joined the Kisan Nyay Yatra with the farmer who brought tractors from all over the district and raised the voice of the farmer. Due to the anti-farmer policies of the central and state government, the farmers have been forced to protest today.”

He further added, “This ruthless government is not affected by the pain and problems of the farmers, today the farmers neither have a fair price for their produce, nor adequate fertilisers, electricity and resources. Farmers, the backbone of India, are getting buried in debt day by day and there is no one to listen to or understand their problems.”
