Congress Leaders in Madhya Pradesh Lead Tractor Rally for Farmers’ Rights
On September 20, Congress leaders in Madhya Pradesh organized a ‘Kisan Nyay Yatra’ on tractors to support farmers demanding an increase in the minimum support price (MSP) of soybean from Rs 4892 to Rs 6000 per quintal.

In Bhopal, Congress MLAs Ajay Singh and Arif Masood led the Nyay Yatra from Ratibad to Bhadbhada locality. The police stopped the rally by placing barricades, and the leaders submitted a memorandum demanding the MSP increase.
Ajay Singh stated, “This is a Nyay Yatra for the respect of the farmers. We are demanding justice for the farmers, which the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had promised regarding the MSP. We will continue our fight for the benefit of the farmers.”
Protests in Indore
In Indore, former Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh and MP Congress chief Jitu Patwari led a similar rally. Patwari submitted a memorandum to the governor and criticized the BJP for not fulfilling their promises to farmers.
Patwari said, “If any idea is anti-farmers in the country, it is Bharatiya Janata Party. The farmers are demanding an MSP of Rs 6,000 for soybean as Rs 4500 is spent in its cultivation. BJP is fooling the farmers.”
Further Actions
In Gwalior, Congress workers began their yatra from Phool Bagh Square and reached the Collector’s Office. The Congress party plans to continue their protests by shutting down mandis and eventually reaching the state assembly if their demands are not met.
