The 5th World Nomad Games will take place in Astana, Kazakhstan, from September 8 to 13. This exciting event will feature international competitions in ethnic sports, with over 2,000 participants from 85 countries.

Main Fields of the Games

The Games will include three main fields: sports, culture, and science.

Key Venues

The infrastructure for the Games includes six major venues in Astana:

  • Astana Arena Stadium
  • Kazanat Hippodrome
  • Martial Arts Palace named after Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov
  • Alau Ice Palace
  • Qazaqstan Athletics Sports Complex
  • Duman Complex

Sports Competitions

Horse racing, traditional archery, and national types of hunting with birds will be held at the Kazanat Hippodrome and Ethnoaul. Wrestling, martial arts, and folk games will take place at the Wrestling Palace and Alau Ice Palace. Traditional intellectual games will be held in the Duman Complex.

Cultural and Scientific Programs

The main site for the cultural program will be the Universe of Nomads Ethno-village, located on a 10-hectare area next to the Kazanat Hippodrome. Additional cultural events will be held at various locations throughout Astana, including city squares, parks, theatres, and museums. The scientific program events will be held at the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
