A 28-year-old man named Sumit, who worked in the tour and travel business and also ran a gym, was tragically stabbed to death in the Gamri Extension area of Delhi. The incident took place at 11:30 pm when Sumit was sitting in a street and got into a verbal argument with three to four boys. The boys attacked him with a knife, inflicting 17 stab wounds on his face, neck, chest, and abdomen.

Sumit was immediately taken to JPC hospital, where doctors declared him dead. DCP North East Delhi Police Joy Tirkey confirmed the details, stating, “The incident occurred at 11:30 pm in the night. The name of the deceased is Sumit, aged 28 years, working in the tour and travel industry and he used to run a gym. The area falls under the Bhajanpura Police station.”

The police are currently scanning CCTV footage from nearby areas and making efforts to apprehend the culprits. Further investigation into the case is ongoing. Notably, Sumit had previously been booked for an attempted murder case but was granted bail by the Delhi High Court.

In a separate incident, the Delhi Police arrested three individuals—Rajesh, Abhishiek, and Mohit—in connection with the murder of a 40-year-old African national in the Nihal Vihar area. The deceased was involved in drug dealing and had taken money from the accused without providing the narcotics or returning the money.
