The Union Ministry of Labour and Employment announced that 21.67 lakh new employees were enrolled under the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Scheme in June 2024. This includes 10.58 lakh employees aged up to 25 years and 4.32 lakh female members. Additionally, 55 transgender employees were registered.

The ministry also reported that 13,483 new establishments were added to the ESI Scheme, showing a 7% growth in net registrations compared to June 2023.
