14-Year-Old Jai Sabharwal Wins Equestrian Premier League in Bengaluru

The equestrian season in India started with a bang as 14-year-old Jai Sabharwal from The Amateur Riders’ Club (ARC) secured the first position in the Equestrian Premier League (EPL) held in Bengaluru. Riders from all over the country participated in the event.

Jai has been training at ARC for six years, receiving international-level coaching. The club also prepares riders for prestigious events like the Asian Games and the Olympics. Recently, Jai competed in the Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI) CSI2*-1*-YH Show Jumping competition in Belgium, winning two medals in the CSI1* category.

Despite a fall during the warm-up for the 130 cm competition round, Jai and his horse Carna completed a double clear round in the shortest time of 39.16 seconds, securing the gold medal.

Jai expressed his joy, saying, “I am elated to have won the 130 cms class amongst other riders who are much senior by age and riding experience. Now I am eager to prepare and compete for the upcoming international and national shows in India this season along with my team.”
